What the coverages mean

Plain words for every line on a quote

Auto liability

Injuries and damage your vehicles cause to others, often written as one combined single limit such as $1,000,000.

Contracts and regulators usually set the minimum. Trucking operations have federal minimums of their own.

Physical damage

Collision and comprehensive on your own vehicles and trailers.

Required by lenders; the deductible is per vehicle.

Hired and non-owned

Vehicles you rent and employees' own cars used for your work.

The exposure most small businesses have and few insure.

Motor truck cargo

The goods you haul.

Separate from liability; shippers and brokers ask for it.

Other

Medical payments, uninsured motorist, trailer interchange, rental reimbursement, downtime.

Quoted as you need them.

How it works

Three steps, one place for everything

  1. 1

    Tell us what to cover

About five minutes on a phone. Your progress is saved as you go. No Social Security number, licence number or payment is asked for.

  2. 2

    A licensed representative reviews it

A real person, licensed in your state, prepares quote options from the carriers they are appointed with and uploads the carrier documents.

  3. 3

    Compare, ask, choose

Your quotes land in a private portal where you can compare coverage and deductibles side by side, ask questions, and say which one interests you.

Questions people ask

Do I need a USDOT number?

Only regulated operations do, generally interstate for-hire carriage or vehicles over certain weights. If you have one, give it on the form; if you are not sure, your representative will ask.

Is a quote a binding offer?

No. A quote is an estimate prepared from the details you give. The carrier confirms the final rate, coverage and eligibility before any policy is bound, and nothing is charged until you choose to proceed.

Which carriers do you quote?

The licensed professional assigned to your request quotes the carriers they are appointed with in your state. We name the carrier on every quote we send you.

Who sees my information?

The representative assigned to your request and the agency that supervises them. It is not sold or shared for marketing.
